Intro

Hi!
My name is Alexa, I created this blog for my husband Glenn so we both can share our love for the most amazing bird of this planet - The Great Roadrunner.

It all stared two years ago when a gray bird with long beak and long tail walked into our house in Southern California. He stood in our living room, looking at us with both of his eyes, and was making clicking sound with his beak. We offered him what we thought a bird might like the most - bread, rice, prunes, nuts but he did not eat anything and left seemingly disappointed.

Later we got on line and discovered two things. One - it was a roadrunner. Two - he is a carnivore that's why he did not accept our offerings.

We learned that the actual roadrunner has little in common with that cartoon character on TV. This creature is so much more complex and so infinitely amazing that we totally fell in love with it.

These days we see roadrunners in our backyard every day. We always have fresh water and their favorite food (which is bologna) ready for them.

Me and my husband both are going to be posting in this blog. He will probably post more than me because his written English is so much better than mine.
